"Could not load X-polarization effective index data" error in Synopsys

When trying to run a simulation in Synopsys the following type of error is returned:

Simulation Error: ERROR: TDC_PDK_01_CW.cl_band_thermo_optic_phase_shifter3_Waveguide1:   Could not load X-polarization effective index data. 

This is caused by the nEff_filename in the component's .moml file pointing to the invalid directory "${CLASSPATH}/aim..." Synopsys has confirmed this issue and will address this in the next release. In the meantime, a workaround is to manually update the .moml file to point to the proper directory as shown below.
